How do I download this on to my computer and get started? Where's the .exe file?
ClinicCases does not run on your local computer. It runs on a remote server and you access it through your web browser. It is fairly easy to set up on any web server which has PHP4 (or higher) and MYSQL installed. If you don't want to try this yourself, ask your I.T. department (or maybe even one of your students!) for help. In the meantime, feel free to to try the demo to see how it works.
How do I get my data off my old case management system?
It is possible to port data from other case management systems (e.g., Time Matters, Tabs3/Practice Master) to ClinicCases. At Loyola Law Clinic, we imported our Tabs 3 data with about four hours of work. You should ask your I.T. department about this or contact Judson Mitchell, the ClinicCases developer.
Will I get updates for this software?
ClinicCases has frequent product updates and bug fixes. You can always get the latest version by going to Google Code and dowloading it. The upgrade process is easy and painless: just copy the new files to your server.
If you have more questions, feel free to email with the developer, Judson Mitchell, at jmit...@loyno.edu, or chat/IM below:
